    Focuses on the concept of pure substances and mixtures, methods of separating the components of mixtures, and types of solutions. 

Unit II: Organization in the Living World 

  • Chapter 5: The Fundamental Unit of Life: Introduces the cell as the basic unit of life, its structure, and the functions of various cell organelles. 
  • Chapter 6: Tissues: Covers the different types of tissues in plants and animals and their respective functions. 
  • Chapter 7: Diversity in Living Organisms: Explores the vast diversity of living organisms and their classification. 
Unit III: Motion, Force, and Work 

  • Chapter 8: Motion:
    Deals with the concepts of distance, displacement, speed, velocity, acceleration, and uniform and non-uniform motion. 

  • Chapter 9: Force and Laws of Motion:
    Introduces the concepts of force, Newton’s laws of motion, inertia, and momentum according to the syllabus. 

  • Chapter 10: Gravitation:
    Explores the force of gravity, acceleration due to gravity, mass, weight, and free fall. 

  • Chapter 11: Work, Energy, and Power:
    Covers work done by a force, energy, power, kinetic and potential energy, and the law of conservation of energy. 

  • Chapter 12: Sound:
    Discusses the nature of sound, its propagation, speed, reflection, and the concept of echo. 

Unit IV: Food, Food Production 

  • Chapter 15: Improvement in Food Resources: Explores various methods of improving food production.
